Dr. K. G. Suresh is the Director General, Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Delhi. Dr Suresh who was recently awarded the Visionary Leader Award at the first edition of the exchange4media Media Education Summit has been in the field of media as a senior journalist, columnist, blogger, political commentator, communication strategist, public speaker, media trainer to name a few. Dr Sangeeta Bagga-Gupta is Professor of Higher Education and Communication (HLK), Jönköping University. She has a pronounced multidisciplinary and multidisciplinary background and has been a professor for 12 years at Örebro University (at the departments of Education and Gender Studies, Department of Humanities, Educational and Social Sciences). She has also been a research director at the Habilitation Research Center (HFC), Örebro County County Council and is a visiting professor at Aligarh Muslim University. Dr Sangeeta conducts her studies at Linköping University and post-doc studies at Gallaudet University in Washington DC, USA. Her research interests involve human (i) communication, (ii) learning and (iii) identities with a particular focus on ICT and technologies in both historical and contemporary contexts across geopolitical units.
Dr. Ujjwala Barve hails from an extensive media background. Dr. Barve is the Head of the Department of Communication and Journalism, Savitribhai Phule Pune University. After successful stint with media houses in capacity of a newsreader, assistant news editor, journalist, Dr. Barve joined the department as a media teacher. Her doctoral research was about accuracy of language used in Marathi radio and TV bulletins. She teaches language skills, Radio Journalism, Media Research and Advertising. Her research areas are media and communication, media education, diaspora media etc. She has presented research papers in national and international conferences.
Dr. Jennifer Suwak is a Professor at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, USA. She has an in-depth experience in the film and video field since 1990, Professor Suwak and teaches production along with freelancing in the industry. Donning many hats including that of a producer, reporter, editor, director, sound recordist, and camerawoman for news and feature films, her work comprising of sculptures, animation and award-winning documentary films have been showcased in galleries and film festivals including Austin Film Festival, San Francisco DocFest, Black Maria, to name a few.
Dr. Mugdha Rai is a Lecturer at the School of Media, Film and Journalism and Director, Master of Strategic Communications Management at Monash University, Australia. We are pleased to announce our impeccable speaker, Dr Mugdha Rai. Dr. Rai is a Lecturer at the School of Media, Film and Journalism. Dr. Umesh Arya is Associate Professor at Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar, Haryana. With an aspiration to leverage the online education methodology, Dr. Arya has more than 150 videos on various themes on his Youtube channel. As an expert in Social Media Data Analysis and skill development Dr. Arya is a Google Certified Trainer, a NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) communication coach, a corporate trainer. We are honoured to welcome Dr. Umesh Arya as a resource person for Google’s ‘Fact checking’ workshop and a Keynote speaker for KC Media Summit 2019.
Mr Saurav Datta is a legal correspondent with a vast portfolio that focuses on subjects such as criminal law, human rights and gender rights. He has been associated with publications and media organisations like The Quint, DNA, Scroll, India Legal, Al Jazeera and Firstpost to name a few. An educator and journalist, it is with great pride that we introduce Mr. Saurav Datta as Invited Speaker at KC Media Summit 2019. Dr. Vinesh Y. Hookoomsing has completed a long career as Professor of Linguistics at University of Mauritius. Currently, he Professor of Linguistics at Université Laval, QC, Canada His research interests lie in Mauritian diaspora history and literature. Dr. Hookoomsing is the author of the book- Multiple Identities in Action: Mauritius and Some Antillean Parallelisms. We are look forward to an interactive session with Dr. Vinesh Y.
